I would consider that tattoo fairly tribal, but unless that came directly from a book on tribal design or a book on Indian heritage and history, then I would doubt it had any meaning in that regards. I think there are some designs out there that would have tribal meaning behind them, but since there are SO MANY different variations in the tattoo world, I would highly doubt that every single one you see on people has a specific tribal meaning. “Tribal” seems to be more of a genera anymore.

What is most important when you get a tattoo is that it means something to YOU. I personally don’t care for tribal work anymore because so many people have them…but what does that matter? If you like the design and it has some personal meaning to you, then get it.

Most of my tattos were gotten at random points and only one of them really has any meaning at all. The others just kindof describe what was going on in my life at that point.
